During the 80s Aruba went through unprecedented growth, change and progress on almost all frontiers, but the fact that the Aruban television stayed behind became evident with the introduction of cable television. The local TV was not even considered a contender for the written press nor radio. That's the reason why during the 90s an enthusiastic group of five professionals under the guidance of mr. Mike Eman took the initiative to study the possibility of starting a television company based on modern technology. With great ambition and energy this group and the handpicked investors visualized the roll that "ATV" should play in helping create a better community and better the quality of life in Aruba. Aruba was ready for modern television!
