Self-harm, drug addiction, alcoholism, shopping addiction, gambling, over-eating, etc. Unfortunetily, narcissistic abusers will hyper-focus on 'how' a former target of abuse chooses to self-medicate, never the 'why.' Abusive manipulators will never ask, "what happened?" Instead a narcissist will only want to discuss the 'how' and most narcissistic people will try to guilt-trip and stigmatize the target using psychiatric labels.
