The main focus of these exercises is to develop your awareness of your root (your connection to the ground and your control over your center of gravity/balance). Each stepping exercise is meant to teach you how to maintain your root and balance while performing the stepping pattern, they get progressively more difficult, but even the most difficult is still fairly simple. If you're looking to improve your balance, are just starting to learn Tai Chi, or have been practicing Tai Chi for a while and just enjoy taking your training back to the basics every once in a while, this series is for you.
