Since its inception in 1958, it has undergone a number of highs and lows, reaching an all-time high this year. In fact, the band possessed enough talent that, at the beginning of the year, it was able to split and form two good organizations, Explorers and Anchormen. "This recording was made in a single two-hour session on location at the Eastridge High School auditorium. Virtually all the selections were done in one take. Bill Dengler was director of recording and mixdown."
