After another challenging year, we’re looking forward to relaxing under the sun, savoring traditional Surinamese cuisine, reconnecting with family, and getting more acquainted with the country and its wonderful people 🫶🏾. This three-week trip is packed with special moments. I’ll be supporting my cousin’s new daycare business by helping her set up with supplies I’ve shipped over, and I can’t wait to see the transformation! Another highlight will be spending time with my uncle, who’s renovated his mother’s house—my grandmother's sister's home—in Santigron. We’ll be assembling furniture that belonged to my younger brother, giving it new life in our ancestral home—a meaningful way to honor his memory ✨. We might even squeeze in some touristy adventures, like visiting Galibi to witness the majestic leatherback sea turtles. I’m beyond excited for this trip and can’t wait to share every moment with you all!💃🏽
