French Rosette Blanket

3 videos • 7 views • by Twisted Yarns The French Rosette Blanket can be made to any size blanket from baby all the way to king size. It's just a matter of adding pieces. There are 3 different motifs. The flower motif that can have any where from 1 to 4 rosettes. It is the decorative piece that is used primarily to accent the corners or the edges of the bed for larger projects. The large square motif is useful to fill the top of a larger project. In our demonstration, the baby blanket only has one in the center. And then there is the rectangle motif. This is used primary along the edges as a filler between the flower motifs and the large squares in the middle of large blankets. Plus, I added a bonus motif. It is exactly the same size as the flower motif. By adding this bonus motif, you expand the possibilities of design because you can use it to fill in where the flowers are not appropriate. This also gives you the possibility to create more masculine blankets by eliminating the flowers altogether! And speaking of altogether, the final video in the series provides easy crochet-techniques that join the pieces along with instructions for both narrow and wide borders and edging!
