7 videos • 6 views • by Delhi School of Excellence, Banjara Hills Telugu Day Celebration “Our language is a reflection of ourselves.” – Cesar Chavez Poetry, music, dance, and a splendid array of colourful and traditional attire were all on display on the occasion of Telugu Day Celebration in Delhi School of Excellence, Banjara Hills on 1st October, 2024. Students spoke at length about the importance and rich history of Telugu language, and literary giants who contributed immensely to the spread and development of the language. They mellifluously sang songs, and beautifully recited poems to describe the glory of the Telugu language. The students gracefully performed a classical dance invoking Maha Ganapathi and a semi classical dance that mesmerized everyone. A skit that emphasised the need to learn the language and its encouragement was performed by the students. The students were all impressively dressed in colourful and traditional attire. Bathukamma dance was also performed in which the dignitaries and the teachers joined them with gusto. The use of props such as placards and flower decorations added colour and an atmosphere of festivity. Principal Ms Bharti appreciated the students for their immense efforts in their performance and the Telugu department for the well-presented program.
