Walter Durfee Grandfather Clock
3 videos • 23 views • by Mumford Restoration Not only is this clock gorgeous, it's got quite a history as well! It was built by Walter Durfee, long considered the "father of the modern grandfather clock." This is his pattern 42 design, and was sold by Tiffany & Co. during the late 1800s, early 1900s, along with other fine jewelers and retailers. Durfee worked with only the finest craftsmen all over the world to get parts for these clocks. His main goal was quality and judging by this grandfather clock, I think he achieved that!
