That's the most important thing. And I think that's been my talent. The commitment to keep doing it and keep practicing. If you can commit to something you can do whatever you want." -Cas Haley BETA Records TV Season 3 Episode 12 gets into the minds of two musicians with wildly different paths to their success and an internet visionary who gives bands the world over a proper audience. Australian musician Andy Clockwise chats with DJ Darren Rose of LA's 98.7 FM and talks about bumming around the Syndey art scene before finding his musical outlet, making an album that got the attention of Australia's famed Triple-J Radio, and moving to the states, a country whose pop-culture he's always idolized. He and guitarist Josh Norton belt out the winking rock jam Everybody's In A Band. Then Erik V. sits down with Tim Westergren, president of Pandora Radio, the massively popular online radio station. He describes the process by which his his staff breaks down songs into "musical DNA" and how that information is used to create curated playlists for each listener. He talks about struggling in a band for years before getting the inspiration for Pandora, and discusses his firm opinion that bands nowadays need a "5th Beatle," a bandmember to exclusively handle the online marketing. America's Got Talent finalist Cas Haley brings his band and his infectious positivity to the BETA studio to talk about how his parents' love for music shaped him and how Reggae became his passion. He discusses the present state of Reggae music and the musicians that shaped modern Reggae. His full band joins him on stage for the sweet groove of his song Counting Stars.
