It took about an hour twenty minutes. It was a lot of funt o see the countryside fromthe passenger seat of the motorbike, we were travelling not too fast for safety reasons particularly through small villages and where the roads were less spectacular, 40-60 kms. We crossed the Bassac River on a small ferry boat, then travelled another 20 minutes. During the day, I visited their land including garden, banana trees, coconut trees, rice fields. I also went to see a farmer harvesting his rice. it was so hot (44c) and sunny that the next day I was pretty tired. I also had a fabulous traditional countryside lunch meal consisting of (1) whole fresh mudfish; (2) mudfish filet stir fried with mild peppers and spices; (3) steamed rice that had been harvested the week before and (4) tangy garlic chili lime sauce.
