This clock is a long-drop octagon, commonly called a "schoolhouse clock", the long-drop means that the trunk of the case where the pendulum swings extends below the dial significantly, allowing a longer (and supposedly more accurate) pendulum. In this series, I use a mainspring winder on the springs, repair a damaged center friction, and time the strike train during reassembly.
