It was released on March 19, 1962 on Columbia Records, when Dylan was 20 years old. It features two original compositions, the rest being old folk standards, and was produced by Columbia's legendary talent scout John H. Hammond, who signed Dylan to the label. Excitement has been running high since the young man with a guitar ambled into a Columbia recording studio for two sessions in November 20 and 22, 1961.
