It seems just an instant between the coming future and the past. But this tiny instant of now is mighty indeed. In the illusion, we spend much of our time in the past, and the past seems gigantic. It holds all history, and the future also appears vast because it contains all that we can imagine. Between these two giant concepts of the future and the past sets the present moment of now. It is only in the present moment that you can physically be. It is only in the present moment that anything physical can be. There is nothing physical in the past or future which includes you. While you can go anyplace you want in your imagination, physically, you must stay here in the present moment. You are born, live, and die in the present moment, and you can’t escape it.
