Introducing Aidan Bissett | Vevo DSCVR

Ready for a little rockin? Mr. Bissett and band certainly weren't shy when they got to our studio for a blast through "Tripping Over Air." The Portland, Oregon native with the deep affection for the Killers lets it rip on this nugget from last year. During an interview the singer told us that he feels like he's bulletproof on stage - immersion in your art can bring out such fortitude. That's what we're seeing in "Tripping Over Air," of the many cool singles that Bissett has shared with his ever-growing fanbase these last few years. Back in the fall of '20, when he said hello to the world with the super catchy "More Than Friends," tastemakers knew they had a new horse to keep an eye on. Though he grew up absorbing his dad's faves like Queen and Pink Floyd," the 21-year-old says his personal vibe is more alt and grunge slanted, reminding us that sometimes it's imperfections that make make music perfect. Indeed Bissett says his own tunes in 2023 are closer to a blend of The Strokes and Coldplay - an apt analogy for "Tripping Over Air" and another recent gem, "Out Of My League." If you haven't heard him yet, this performance is going to be a big convincer.
