After her first album ‘Immunity’, Clairo found herself in a mentally bleak place. Songs like 'Bambi’ and 'Blouse' reflect how she felt being thrown into the music industry at 18. Other songs like ‘Reaper', the first track written for the album, came from conversations with her mother during the pandemic and explores motherhood from a perspective she never considered before.
