the first time i used the line "time's always right to fix what's wrong" was in this poem. i showed it to my roommates, Jordan & Aidan (JA Collective) & we all decided to put some movement to it. so we cleared out our living room & asked our buddies from RYGB if they would come to our house to shoot it. this is the result..

"What's Wrong" - simple•poem 066
August 28, 2020

how to cross a bridge i’m uncertain will hold me
hold me to your breast i’m restless against the thought
i’m never enough
but close to your love
pressed to your chest
i am enough
enough with the back & forth
the bargaining murders my heart slowly

slowly i’m understanding the only
heart worth holding
is one kept pulling closer in trust
though i don’t know fully
how to cross a bridge i’m uncertain will hold me

Lord help me
have courage to step with knees shaking
shaking wont make it better
but when i’m down & out & overwhelmed
sometimes it’s all i want to do

to do the right thing when my body screams the opposite’s awful
merely clawing at something fatiguingly impossible on my own
on my own it’s all intangible

i hardly fix anything i want to
it’s just never the right time

but i suppose i’ve been waiting for the right time for too long
the time’s always right to fix what is wrong
