Imagine facing the choice of a quality education class or putting food on the table for your family.

That's the reality for over 15,000 teenagers taking on 20 to 50 hours of paid work a week on top of study.

The Poverty Action Group today released a report examining the extent of the issue, and it's calling for urgent support for students who they say are being robbed of their education due to financial pressure.

Checkpoint has spoken to students working extraordinarily long and often antisocial hours.

Reporter Louise Ternouth and Camera Operator Marika Khabazi have this exclusive report.
