Indian railway was established on 8th may ,1845. It's fourth largest Railway network in the world. The Headquarter of Indian Railway is situated in New Delhi.
The total Rail route length is 68155 km and 58.49% Rail route are electrified. The Division of Indian Railway is consist of 18 Zones. The whole Railway system is operated by Indian government.
