God Syndrome is an extreme melodic death metal band from Russia, formed in 2011 and started its way within the local scene with the first demo-tracks, quickly establishing as one of the most promising local metal bands.
The early 2013 debut release â EP âDownfall Omenâ highlighted the main concept of bandâs music â a refined symbiosis of Swedish, Polish and American death metal with the strong touch of melody. The EP was mixed and mastered by Hertz recording studio and released by independent Russian label Mazzar records. âDownfall Omenâ received some favorable reviews in local underground metal media.
In 2016 the band had presented its first full-length album â âControverseâ that was released by Mazzar records. The album was recorded in cooperation with Pawel âPawulonâ Jaroszewicz (drummer of Hate and Antigama, ex-Decapitated, ex-Vader) as a session drummer. The artwork and layout design was performed by the W. Smerdulak. âControverseâ was acclaimed by Russian underground metal media
