Roto Frank AG was founded in 1935 in Germany by Wilhelm Frank, who invented hardware to actuate Tilt&Turn windows. Roto now has 4500 employees, 12 manufacturing plants and dozens of subsidiaries globally. Roto Frank of America (RFA) was founded in 1979 and sold hardware for roof windows. RFA evolved to focus on manufacturing hardware for casement & awning windows and doors. In 2012 Fasco Diecast Metals was acquired as a leading manufacturer of sliding patio door hardware, and the company was appropriately re-named Roto Fasco Canada (RFC).
Today, RFA and RFC employs 160 and offers one cohesive product portfolio as Roto North America. With 2 manufacturing plants, 1 located in Chester, CT, and 1 located in Mississauga, Ontario, hardware is manufactured and stocked for casement windows, sliding patio doors, tilt&turn, and a variety of unique applications.
