Embroidery with gold and silver threads has been prevalent in India since the times of Rigveda, and gained much popularity during the Mughal and its semblance in the form of Zardozi art, the intricate metal embroidery work done on fabrics such as silk, velvet and satin.
The culmination of metal and fabric has been enthralling its connoisseurs for generations. And it is this love for Zardozi and its adaptive nature that has prompted us to launch our brand, Zardouzee, from the house of 175+ years old Ganeshi Lall Emporium in Agra (U.P.).
Founded by Alark Mohan Lall, the brand brings the historic art closure to the next gen. It will also provide a rich platform to artisans to showcase their skills of zari work in various forms.
Zardouzee’s handbags, shoulder bags, potli/pouches, souvenir boxes and hand bracelets, among many are designed keeping the young audience in mind, who make their own culture statement with the art knot from the history.
