What are currently your biggest challenges with tinnitus?

My face when another client tells me their ENT told them there’s nothing they can do about #tinnitus.

This is the story that is so common and I hear it very often.

And yes, from the traditional medicine perspective there is no adequate treatment that immediately relieves someone off their ringing in their ears.

However, when a doctor tells you there’s nothing you can do about the condition that you’re seeing them about, then you have to understand that you’re sending the person down the road of anxiety and despair.

The person then obviously goes on to search the Internet, and clearly there are so many comments in forums where it’s all about the darkness that Tinnitus brings over peoples lives.

One particular client told me that their struggle with it started after they had left the doctors office and started googling tinnitus.

And although they had had tinnitus for a few weeks already, they were never bothered about it until they went to see the ENT and started googling it afterwards.

In essence, we have to make it very clear that people are not dealing with the pure problem of a sound that they perceive, but rather than thoughts and emotions around this perception.

And successful treatment starts where people feel empowered, where people feel like they have the information they need, and where people have a positive outlook.

That’s why we founded www.mytinnitus.club

An online membership program for people with tinnitus designed to use behavioural strategies to help people go from bothersome to non-bothersome Tinnitus.

We have people from all over the world on this platform and we bring them together in a positive positive spirit of learning how to habituate to this condition.

Hey guys, after my time out with burnout and depression, I decided to come back stronger. However, I also need to ask you as my community for support. Therefore, I have created two-tier memberships.

1. The first membership at 9.99$/month will have you be able to get special access to videos, have a say on what we publish next and support my work as a creator.

2. The second membership comes in at 24.99$ and includes a weekly group coaching session. As soon as you have purchased that membership, you will see a link where we hold that coaching session.

3. The third membership includes a monthly 1on1 Tinnitus Coaching Session with me personally.

Thanks all for your support and let's rock 2024 and habituate party people <3

You all are great!

Trigger and mental health alert ⛔ : I've been dealing with depression for the past three months (and actually probably the past few years as well).

Some of you may have noticed that I went quiet and stopped producing social media as well as podcast and youtube content.

And here’s the gist of what’s happened:

The last two years saw me trying to run two businesses, keep fit, be a decent enough husband and partner. Within the last few months I suddenly realised that things are sliding away from me although I continued to give it my everything.

Then the panic attacks appeared. Gruesome, dark, full-on fear of death panic attacks. I do not wish those on anyone. Finally, I found a very good doctor, we explored the reason for my attacks. Deep down I was feeling anxious, depressed and no matter what I did, things did not get better. I was diagnosed with depression.

So I committed to a clinic here in Berlin. And I am still to this day in that setting. I am grateful for the German healthcare system, but also the people and humans beings who have supported me through this difficult time (especially my wife Stephania).

Depression is real, and it might look different for each individual. I just knew that things weren’t right for a while but never knew what it was. Until now. That in and of itself was a relief.

The one good thing: I explored and deepened my experience in Acceptance and Commitment therapy, an approach that I am extremely fond of and love to use in supporting people with tinnitus. So thank you @Russ Harris, the happiness trap is such an excellent resource!!!

And while I am still fully convinced that once I'm better I will continue my mission to build the most helpful and supportive #tinnitus program (www.mytinnitus.club) out there, currently my energy and ressources are limited so I am putting them into getting better.

Thank you all for your support. I am sure I will share more about my journey in the future.

For all people with tinnitus: My Podcast is 84 episodes filled with useful tips and tricks on tinnitus, you can find all resources here linktr.ee/outringtinnitus
