Storytime with Miss Pam incorporates:
🗣️ Rhyming, rhythm, and singing, which build up phonological awareness - the ability to recognize and make the sounds in words.
🖐🏽 Introductions to S.T.E.M. concepts and the use of hand gestures. Research indicates that "finger discrimination" – knowing your pinky from your pointer, etc. leads to improved skills in counting, number ordering, and beyond.
📚Read alouds of diverse, inclusive stories to support early literacy and nurture a positive relationship between young children and books.

Miss Pam has a Masters in Library Science and BA in Special Education. She is also a Jamaican, a grandmother, and a mother to an adult son on the spectrum.
