He will be a member of crucial committees such as Public Accounts (Chairman), Public Undertakings, and Estimates and also a member of several Joint Parliamentary Committees. The office of the leader of the opposition is not mentioned in the Constitution. The leader of Opposition in both Houses was accorded statutory recognition under the Salaries and Allowances of Leader of Opposition in Parliament Act, 1977 and are entitled to the salary, allowances and other facilities equivalent to that of a cabinet minister. #rahulgandhi

The Centre removed NTA Director General Subodh Kumar Singh from his position on Saturday, placing him on “compulsory wait” in the DoPT due to recent exam irregularities, including those in NEET and UGC-NET.
