The talk is to present an overview of the field of social media/attention economy ethics; the ethical issues and solutions recorded in the literature.
I spent last year reading the attention economy literature (over 2000 abstracts and 100 papers in-depth) and so there will be a lot of deep and relevant information in this talk for those grappling with the issues of Social Media, AI & Attention optimised technologies.

Mahon McCann is an Irish philosophy, writer and black belt in Bujinkan Ninjitsu. He is currently a PhD philosophy researcher and tutor at DCU's institute of Ethics, studying the ethics of the attention economy and human autonomy. He holds a Masters from Queen’s university Belfast and a bachelors from University College Dublin.
