Miriam Lancewood survived for 7 years with her husband Peter in the wilderness of New Zealand. Without technology (not even a clock), they roamed the high mountains like nomads, slept in a tent, cooked on a fire, and Miriam learned how to hunt with bow and arrow. Their experiences and observations are unique in this modern, technological world.
In 2017 Miriam wrote the International bestseller "Woman in the wilderness". It was translated into 6 languages. Miriam spoke at 12 international Literary Festivals including Byron Bay 2018, Hong Kong 2019 and Dubai 2020.
In 2020 the sequel "Wild at heart" came out. This story is about the walk through Europe and Turkey, and eventually Australia.
Miriam's 3rd publication was
"Wilder Journeys" 2023. Together with Laurie King, Miriam edited a brilliant compilation of stories about nature connection, written by well known adventurers. Miriam wrote the first chapter.
