Has it been a minute or has it been a minute?!
I truly hope you have all been well and thriving.
I’ll keep this short and sweet. You all know how I have struggled with finding the time to create the kind of lengthy/detailed videos I have historically posted on this channel.
I have decided to try TikTok as a way to still be able to do what I enjoy - sharing helpful beauty science information with you all - but in a way that I can sustain with my current lifestyle.
I really appreciate each and every single one of you who have continued to support me both on and offline. And I look forward to continuing to grow, learn, and share new things with you all.

Friends, I spent the better part of last year trying to catch my breath…and a break.
I went from weekly videos in 2020 to only posting a total of about 4 videos in 2021. 🙃
After the numerous questions about and video requests for when I was “coming back”, many of you simply concluded (for the sake of your own sanity) that I had been raptured. I would go on to show face intermittently on YouTube to the warmest of welcomes and dozens of new wonderful subscribers, only to be gone again on another several-week hiatus.
I was probably more frustrated and disappointed than you guys were, watching this happen. Especially because I felt like I couldn’t change it. Not because I felt powerless, but because I was already stretched far beyond my capacity and doing the best I could - on all fronts.
In addition to enrolling on a cosmetic chemistry course (whilst working full time AND working to grow my personal brand), last year I experienced a pretty brutal break up, and shortly after, the loss of a very dear family member.
Even if I thought I had it in me before to do it all, these events made it that much harder. I felt it was necessary to give myself the grace and space I needed to find my feet again. So that’s what I did.
I am still working things out, but I’m hopeful and excited about being able to resume my usual antics - slowly and surely. This will start with my first upload of the year (going live tomorrow), and then a bi-weekly upload schedule (until I get back into the groove of things).
I want to say a huge THANK YOU to you guys for (a) always supporting me, (b) being patient with me, and (c) reading this long ass post.

Hope you're all doing wonderfully well? I've had some issues with my filming gear/set up this week so unfortunately I won't be uploading today, but thankfully, I've been able to order some new equipment that should arrive in time for next week's video, so I'm really looking forward to that.
In the meantime, I'm really excited about the content I've got scheduled for the best few months. I've got some videos on product line reviews, ingredients/product selection, reaction videos, and addressing some common hair and scalp questions too. I try and pay very close attention to what you guys suggest in my comments, and that really helps me decide what to put out, so please don't stop!
In the meantime, if there are any topics you would like for me to cover, or videos you want me to react to - literally any hair related content you'd be interested in, I would LOVE to hear your requests.

*LIFE UPDATE*
The past few weeks have been a whirlwind.
Many (if not all) of you have noticed that I have not posted in a month. What started off as an intentional 2-week break to catch up on other work turned into an unplanned indefinite one, as the peaceful fight against police brutality at home in Nigeria began to escalate. On 20.10.20, we witnessed what can easily be described as one of the most horrific and sinister incidents of our lives to date. This was the culmination of days of unrest in various parts of the nation, and preceded what has now been days of greater unrest in reaction to the massacre.
I will not go into the egregious details here, but I will encourage everyone to educate themselves on what has been going on surrounding the efforts to #EndSARS in Nigeria.
Though we remain undeterred, many of us are heartbroken from the countless losses and injustices we continue to experience till this day.
I have been doing my very best to attend to my mental/emotional health during these past few weeks. It has not been an easy feat. This is where I have been. I will continue to do so, and work towards being back on here next weekend.

Hi Dears!
I know these times have been a bit of a rollercoaster for us all - so I wanted to touch base with you guys, and update you on how things are going from my end too.
Crazy as this year has been, there are still SO many blessings that I am grateful for and that remind me of God's continued goodness. Over the past four+ months, however, I have found myself getting increasingly busy, overwhelmed, and burnt out. I've decided to take this week off to actively rest, re-centre, recoup, and spend some more time with God to regain perspective and focus.
One of those things that I am beyond grateful for is the amount of support I have gotten from you guys - especially when it comes to the growth of this channel. I want to make sure that I can continue to produce A1 content that you not only find engaging but also helpful. I know this time off will help me do that better - and so I am excited about that.
