Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) is a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre in Thailand.
WFFT provides a second chance to abused wild animals. The 700+ animals at WFFT have been rescued from situations of cruelty and exploitation including from the (illegal) pet trade, languishing in zoos, the tourism/logging industry, from being used as photo props, or are orphaned as a result of human-wildlife conflict.
Some rescued species include elephants, gibbons, macaques, otters, loris, and much more. The goal, whenever possible, is to rehabilitate and release animals back to nature.
WFFT was the first chain-free elephant sanctuary in Asia, and has the first-ever wildlife hospital in Thailand, as well as a dedicated elephant hospital. We also proactively work to campaign against animal exploitation and the illegal wildlife trade.
