Hello everyone! My name is Natalie, I'm from Belgium but I've lived around the world, including Australia, Peru, Spain and Minnesota (Yes, very cold). I'm a mom of a (sometimes) lovely and energetic 5-year old, whom I often drag along to museums, battlefields or medieval castles, hoping to subtly manipulate him to become a history nerd. I'm allowed to (but prefer not to) use the title 'doctor' after completing a PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies.
Obviously, I love history, local culture, politics. My history channel is an extension to my guided tour business but is not just for potential visitors who want to prepare. It's also for history nerds who want to learn more about the history of Belgium from the Vikings to World War I and II but also contemporary Belgium (I do love politics and local culture, and the challenge to try to explain to outsiders). I won't only cover these from my office, but will also 'go in the field' (sometimes literally) to show you what's left to visit.
