Welcome to our backyard.
It was a regular old yard until the lockdown in 2020. Now it's a Backyard Zoo!
My Daughter and I decided to create a pond after finding Millie a Red Eared Slider at a yard sale down the street. We purchased Melon the Yellow Slider at a pet store to keep Millie company(she is about 7 months as of 4/21), pond is a year old now as of 4/21, it uses two 5 watt solar pumps to run water through the "Bogs" we created, has a floor of peat moss is home to approximately 5 feeder fish(varies with Births and the occasional Turtle attack), and is a self sustaining ecosystem at this point. I also hung several Bird feeders and we have a steady stream of Southern California birds coming to visit.
I will be posting lots of video from around the pond, bird feeders and we occasionally rescue/nurse Lizards from our Cat Cassidy(current Lizard is named Killer).
