Classic cars are plentiful here since rust comes here to die. Older folks come here to . . . retire, so plenty of antiques and vintage items at estate sales and thrift stores. I'm great at spotting value, not so great at moving things along to the next hoarder.
I have mid-century modern furniture and antiques. I enjoy restoring vintage tools and cast iron to usable condition. I know little about art, but I know nature, and it guides me when buying landscapes. The oddest thing that I collect is probably fancy serial number notes. With the rapid increase in the M1, an interesting serial number or a dramatic error may be the only way US currency holds value.
I watch furniture restoration, metal shaping, hot rodding, and storytelling.
My two most urgent and neglected projects are my 1969 GMC farm truck and my 1955 Pan-American 43 Trailer Coach.
