Rooted in the lush vistas of East Tennessee, I grew up with the majestic Smoky Mountains as my backdrop. Today, the vibrant shores of Florida's panhandle are where I lay my hat and easel.
I paint with a sense of immediacy, layering wet paint upon wet, eschewing the traditional build up of dry layers. This approach lends a freedom to my landscapes, allowing me to capture their elusive spirit, and bestows a dynamic interplay of light and shadow on my still lifes.
As a juried member of Quayside Art Gallery, the oldest art cooperative in the South, and a dedicated board member, I am truly humbled by the opportunity to contribute to our vibrant art community.
In addition, I take great pride in being an associate member of the National Oil & Acrylics Society (NOAPS), testing my skills against the best in the craft of oil painting.
