Gokulotsavji Maharaj Ji. Under his guidance Akshay has studied many ragas over 12 years where he has learnt the basics & origins of Indian music history, music compositions such as ragmala, semi-classical haveli music which has helped him to discover his style and create music compositions.
Akshay was born and brought up in South Mumbai where he was influenced by many music styles and genres in his childhood and found his first Guru Kamalakar Bhagwat who recorded and composed over 1000 songs. The most popular to note Omkar Pradhan Roop Ganeshache in Bhoopali. It was Kamalakar Bhagwat who took special interest in Akshay and firmly believed that Akshay would be a promising singer.
