I found my boat, a Cal 39, in 2021 and set out on this journey to follow my father's love of the open ocean and hopefully get to see places he explored 60 years earlier while working for Safmarine.
Rui and I met while we were in Rio Dulce together, and he came to help out on my boat while it was out of the water. Maybe I was a damsel in distress and he was my knight in shining armor. But here we are after many miles of sea traveling together on our respective boats, eventually joining together on mine. It's much nicer to share this life with someone. And I was lucky to find a good salt out there on the sea :)
