Kara (์นด๋ผ, often stylized as KARA) is a popular girl group from South Korea. They are under Daesung Entertainment (DSP). Kara comes from the Greek word "chara", which the group interpreted to mean "sweet melody".
They debuted in 2007, but after loosing a member, they had months of hiatus and then had a comeback in October 2008.
The group received continuous success in terms of shows, endorsements, chart rankings and awards.
