Martin studied composition under Billy Cowie at Brighton during which time he participated in The International Festival of Live Art at The Sallis Benney Theatre, billed as βan innovative evening of music...β He has attended performance workshops by Lin Marsh, and WNO, and has worked with NZ sound engineer Emily Madill on an audio installation for a Docklands Artists Open Studio. Martin has also performed in a gamelan improvisation for Oubliette.
