Hey y'all! I'm Sher, the host of Future Proof Health and some of you might be wondering who I am... fair enough. Well first let me tell you what I'm not. I'm not a video person or an influencer or anything. I honestly had no idea how any of this worked before I started this project and it's been a crazy time! I'm also definitely not a doctor. I have been exploring questions around health topics for as long as I can remember, and I think one of the reasons I got to do this host thing is because I'm a storyteller. I studied massage therapy in Alberta, bioethics at a university in Rome, and became a teacher after studying international and environmental education in British Columbia. All of this learning has taught me that there's always more to know and there's rarely a simple answer. With this channel I'm really excited to explore some health conversations and help some of you find the answers that work best for you. In my spare time you can find me hanging out in nature with my little dog on the unceded territory of the Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples on the west coast of Canada.
