In November of 2018, my father passed away at the age of 80 after a short battle with stage 4 lymphoma. Upon his diagnosis, I decided to produce a documentary about the lives of my mother and father. I did this to create a keepsake for my family, but an unintentional byproduct of that project was that it helped me cope with the grief, stress and ultimately loss that I was dealing with, and enabled me to channel that grief into something positive.
In July of 2020, my sister passed away after a valiant and courageous battle with melanoma. Her story, as well as my father's, inspired the creation of GrapplingwithGrief.com. Our goal is to help people share their stories of grief and loss as well as the ways they coped with that grief and channeled it into something positive to help them cope, heal and overcome. We want to help people dealing with grief in their own lives, and inspire them to channel those emotions into positivity and to ultimately help them heal.
