If he had to put a date to my musical journey- it probably began in the womb. His mother is a singer and I donโt doubt that the first notes that slipped into his pre-natal consciousness were hers. As a 2 year old, he would follow his father into classes and during these wanderings discovered his natural inclination to the instrument. At 8, He had his first public performance with his mother and by 13, he was working with All India Radio on numerous recordings.
He has performed with a number of artists worldwide including Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull, Boris Grebenshikov, Dr L Subramanium, Kavita Krishnamoorthy, Suresh Wadekar, Anup Jalota, Rakesh Chaurasia, Roop Kumar Rathod, Javed Ali, Hairharan, to name a few.
Avartan and Aura are the two albums which were the highlight of 2019.
He currently teaches Percussions for London Borough of Ealing and World Heart Beat Music Academy!
