Braid Damage‼️ Here’s 3 tips to avoid this…
1. Get a protein treatment before and after braids.
2. Don’t wear braids back to back… take a break and wear your natural hair.
3. Trim your hair before and after getting braids.
Ask your stylist to take pics during your routine trim appointments so that it doesn’t travel up the hair shaft.
If it continues to travel up the hair shaft… something in your routine is off and needs to be adjusted 🤍

BEFORE and AFTER 🚨Pics of my long term, consistent client.
She gets mostly silk presses because she’s a busy business owner and nurse. She’ll do braids about 2-3x per year.
She only use my products from She Nourished the entire time she’s been my client. My growth oil helped her edges grow back and the shampoo and deep conditioner helped her retain the length 🙌🏾 link to products will be in the comment section 👇🏾

Does your hair thin out like this? Here’s a few reasons I see clients struggling with breakage in this area.
1. Tight ponytails
2. Wearing tight braids w/ synthetic hair
3. Overall weak and damaged hair from lack of maintenance.
4. Using too much heat on their leave out.
Use satin or silk scrunchies for your ponytails to reduce tension. Only wear braids w/ synthetic hair 2x a year. Using too much heat on your leave out can cause it to weaken and break over time. Switch up your styles so you’re using less heat. Visit the salon regularly for needed maintenance like treatment and trims!
