My name is Lý Tử Liên. I come from a remote countryside in northern Vietnam. I once had a husband who would come home drunk, yelling and assaulting my child and me. My life was filled with fear and anxiety. Finally, to protect my son and myself, I decided to leave after enduring five years of suffering, seeking a peaceful life with my son.
