To meet growing passenger and cargo demand at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Abu Dhabi Airports has begun construction on the Midfield Terminal Building, the largest singular airport terminal building in the world. The Midfield Terminal Building, the new gateway to the Capital of the UAE, and the future home of Etihad Airways, is on track to be completed in 2019. Totaling 700,000 square metres in size, the Building will serve 80 million passengers a year.
