It means people are watching. They’re paying attention; and even if my plants in the background, green shirt and blue nails were “too much”… the value still came through. That’s the real win.🥳

A year ago, I wouldn’t have imagined that TiKToK Live would completely transform my business, but after testing it, falling off the wagon (thanks to dislocating my knee last April 😅), and then coming back stronger…I realised something! In 2015, I discovered my passion for live streaming through an app called Periscope. What started as a curiosity quickly became something much bigger - a space where I could connect and collaborate with incredible women entrepreneurs who, like me, were finding their voices in the online world.🥰
I saw something in these women; their dreams, their ambitions, their courage to show up and build their brands inspired me.💡 But I also knew the fears they faced - self-doubt, imposter syndrome, the worry of being seen and not heard, and I wanted to change that.
So I started Women of Worth 💖 WOW Wednesday, a weekly live stream dedicated to celebrating and supporting women in business. It wasn’t just about showing up online - it was about creating a movement. From live streams to in-person networking events, I built a space where women could connect, share their stories and grow together.
But my passion didn’t stop there. I wanted to build something much bigger which is why I started my business and brand Boss It Live™🔥
Over the years I’ve had the privilege of coaching and empowering women entrepreneurs to show up confidently on camera and share their message with the world through Live Video. I’ve watched them step into their power, embrace their stories and transform their businesses and through it all, there have been giggles, growth, countless unforgettable moments and great memories.🙌🏽😍

Collaborations can open incredible doors, but what happens when the door unexpectedly closes? 😳
In 2017, I launched a weekly Facebook Live show called Divas Outloud with fellow business owner and creator friend, Tracy Durrant. It was fun, engaging and brought great visibility to both of us. Each week, we showed up, shared insights and built a growing audience who loved tuning in. 🥳
But then, life happened. 🤦🏾♀️ I had to go in for surgery and at the time, streaming in different locations at the same time wasn’t an option like it is today. No multi-streaming. No easy way to fo live from different locations. So, just like that, the show came to an unexpected halt. 😔
That very experience taught me something important; collaborations are powerful, but it can’t be the foundation of your brand. Yes, teaming up with others expands your reach, strengthens your message and opens new doors - but if your brand relies only on a collaboration, what happens if that partnership comes to an end? 🤷🏽♀️
I’m grateful for Divas Out Loud and the lessons it taught me. Now, I see collaborations as an enhancement to my brand but not the core of it.
