Young Tabla Player Sri Prangopal Bandopadhyay is the Son & Desciple of the Legendary Tabla Maestro Pandit Anandagopal Bandopadhyay of Benaras Gharana. He was born and brought up within the walks of rhythm. He has started his initial training from his illustrious father, at the tender age of four and continued his talim till today. He has every quality to establish himself as a very promising classical tabla player in the 21st century.
He is a First-class in MA (music) from Rabindra Bharati University. in the year of 2002 he has received two prestigious award, in the month of February he has got the National Scholarship in Tabla and also in December he has been awarded the second prize in the all India radio Music Competition in Tabla, and he was also awarded Pandit Nikhil Ghosh Memorial Promising Artist Award from Mumbai in the month of January 2003. In 2020 He Has Been Awarded AKHIL BHARATIYA PRATIBHA PURASKAR (National Award) By the Art & Cultural Trust of India.
