Aerialyn (/ɛəɹʷ.iːʲ.ˈaːl.ɪn/) is an evolution of my old username, Aeriza (/ɛəɹʷ.i.ˈzə/), which was shortened to Aeri as a nickname. 'Aeriza' combines 'Aer-' (Ancient Greek 'ἀήρ' (Aér) & Latin 'Aer' for 'Air') and '-iza' (Evolution of Proto-Malayo-Polynesian "(si-)ia" meaning 'her'), symbolizing my love for Glide, linguistics, my Greek heritage, and my femininity. "(si-)ia" evolved as "-nya" in the Malayan languages, and as "-iza" in Porohanon, referencing my catgirl nature & the evolution shown in my username.
'Aerialyn' appends an evolved mixture of 'Luna' (Latin for 'Moon') and 'Lynx' (Greek 'λύγξ' - A cat species coming from the word 'Shine'/'*Lumine*'), displaying my interest in astrophysics, the atmosphere of chillwave/synthwave music, and referencing myself as being a catgirl. Together, Aerialyn means 'She who controls the glow of the lunar winds.'
