Social Responsibility
Today the Center support groups of weavers in ten villages, spread across the Department of Cusco. Each community weaving association is encouraged to be independent and self-sufficient, relying on themselves, and incorporating elder weavers as mentors for younger generations.
CTTCâs social responsibility is defined by the respect and identify as relevant to the weavers and act on issues of common concern, diversity and appreciate differences among ethnic and social groups in the communities involving a sharing of skills, awareness, knowledge and experience in the traditional textile.
The Center supports the weaverâs association by building their local weaving center, by sharing workshops in many topics like: quality control, technical skills, pricing, natural dye, first aid kits and by promoting their high-quality textiles with the international market.
