We cannot add anything (good works/deeds) to help us to be saved for eternity/new heaven and earth. Because it is only Gods grace that saves us from hell. His grace (freely given sacrifice) is sufficient/enough. Otherwise it woudn't be grace...
His grace is enough, we only need to accept his graceful sacrifice by God in human form, Jesus Christ, and admit our sins and our incapebility to save ourselves.
The opposite of islam, where as you need to weigh 2 bad things against doing 2 good things... this is not mercy or grace. Allah cannot live up ro his own rules of mercy...
