KICKIN' IT WITH THE KINKS entered the media scene as a self-funded documentary with a focus on the trend, women of colour 'going natural'. Our goal was to provide self-awareness and insights on the risks and realities of Black women's haircare practices.
So ... KICKIN' IT WITH THE KINKS is not satisfied with just disseminating information on natural hair.
It has evolved to a whole new level and will continue. The website has recently added a new blog section, not only about natural kinky textured hair care solutions, but also the companion cultural celebrations of our heritage in terms of music, fashion, entertainment, events and traveling.
The heritage of Africa is diverse, expanding and evolving and we feel that there are opportunities ready to move us to enlightenment and inspiration.
