Qawwali derives from our saintly sufi masters, who gifted us this treasure approximately 800-900 years ago. The purpose of Qawwali then was to find true love and the path of God via religious music. We as Kalimi Qawwal Group have embarked on this journey to continue to present and promote the originality of Qawwali - to connect with the Almighty ﷻ His Apostle ﷺ and the Awliya Allah. We aim to embed the love of Allah ﷻ The Prophet ﷺ and Awliya Allah in each and every listeners heart. We believe as a group that to achieve our goals of bringing back the originality of Qawwali - and finding the path of God through this means - we must adhere to the importance of the maqaam of adab (respect). Whenever and wherever Kalimi Qawwal present Qawwalis, our attention (Tawwajoh) is towards Allah ﷻ, RasoolAllah ﷺ and the Awliya Allah's. We hope this attention is reciprocated by our audiences thus we may all achieve spiritual uplifting.
