Tori Nanna, aka Black Birdie, is a queer American experimental-pop artist & producer from Atlanta, GA. With their haunting vocals and genre-bending sound, they have a flare for their unique approach to music. Black Birdie draws inspiration from various genres - such as alt-pop, r&b, rock, and hip-hop - and blends them, attempting a distinctive sound to captivate audiences. As a member of few minority communities, Black Birdie makes music not only to heal but to also have a conversation and range between several topics from heartbreak and self-love to trauma and mental health. Their debut album “Dear Diary” was a journey of self-discovery and mental recovery at a young age while their sophomore release “Happily” travelled through the artist’s past of heartbreak as both the causation or the affected. Their third, self-titled album is set to be more aggressive, tackling subjects of self-image, harmful rumors, and trust issues.
